Three wins from the last four rounds have put Eddie Peterson on course for a record-equalling five Hewison titles in a row. Championship rival Steven Ferguson, who led for the first half of the season, could only manage fourth place on Sunday, behind Eamonn Byrne and Sam Johnston, and is now four points down on dropped scores with four events left. First question - where was everbody? Sad - only 12 enteries - never mind all the more for us Very Happy

Not done this event since 2006 when four equal sized sites produced three seemingly identical pylon layouts and the hardest to learn test I have ever experienced.

This year three sites - four runs each - three completely different layouts and a surface that started slippery and dried as the couple of hours went on - provided a change of surface each round. - It worked for 12 entries

Hi Malcom, Sounds like a small entry list for sure.. A couple of us beginners needed a break from the difficult to remember Hewison rounds especially after Waterford, so we headed to Wexford... Not sure why the usual contingent didn't turn up...

I was in mid reverse throw and the cv joint went. normally not the end of the world but it sent the car straight into the kerb with the lack of drive. so it took the wheel clean off bent the front tie bar and cracked the subframe. i was very lucky it didn take the sump out. the cars down with eamon byrne now but the damage wont take long to repair so i should be at the mec next weekend

thanks. ah its not as bad as it sounds. i have spare wheels so the only thing of any expense at all is the cv joint which is a pretty regular replacement in the minis anyway

That doesn't sound too bad at least you 'll be back out on Sunday, I can't go to this Sunday as Rallycross is on, its a pity as Rathnew is only down the road and the following week is Kerry which is a hike and a half!

Best of luck to you on Sunday,
