The Black Starlet - Sold |
|
Following yesterday's Mondello Event (and my desire not to miss competing in another one) I've decided to put this back up for sale.
I wanted to keep it but as I've decided not to do any events until the new car is finished this is now redundant and has cash tied up in it that I could use to speed up the other project.
Utterly reliable - over 20 events completed since September '07 including 7 retros and 6 Multi Venues.
Built by Declan Hendrick. Std 1296 Engine - KONI's all round - adjustable on the front.
Front Strut Brace, Sump Guard, Spot Light Brackets.
A lot of OEM parts went into this car when Declan rebuilt it (receipts (and Declan!) to prove)
NCT'd to May 2012.
Cost 3 times this price to build and the supply of Boxy Starlets has dried up!
€1100 Call: Owen (086 8465732)

J,
Send me a pm with your email address and I'll send you some pics
Car is an 89 - Last of the boxy shape and qualifies for class 7 in the retro trials as that model began production in 1984.

Pm sent Thanks!
Where would I find information on the various classes for retro trials? I've had a look at the MI site but can't find it.
Is the classification based on when the model of car was first produced rather than the registration date of the actual car? Sorry if that's a really stupid question but I'm only learnin'

Nice photos, I'd buy this car if I had the money. It's a little gem. Great for multivenues/endurance rallies/retros.

The Starlet is now sold. Thanks to all the parties that expressed an interest. Soon to be appearing with its new pilot in situ. Best of luck and I hope it provides the new owner with as much fun as it did me.
