Production Car Trial = like a mudplug but in ordinary cars.

Its still under consideration but nearer to standard than modified. Autotest cars wont qualify, and the point being considered is whether even Retro-modified cars will be allowed.

And FOR EVERYONE : NO KNOBBLY TYRES ! ! !

The couses tend to suit smaller cars with engine over driver wheels ( Mini's, the infamous once -a-year Toyota Tercel ( & Yes ! It did start on the button every time . It was a Toyota ! ), Hillman Imp, Fiat 500, 850 or Millenium Teabag ( Fait 126 Bambino), and now who's going to win not in a Starlet ? ? )

There used always be, and will probably have to be, a front engine/rear-wheel drive class because they are at such a disadvantage in this format of event

The main ( new ) issue for me is how affected a catalyser might be if thumped off the ground or soaked if a frozen puddle ? Cat equipped cars might not be the best but this is up to the techies among you; and / or the competitor. It's really a "run what you brung" type thing

Update to follow

Tim

an interesting point !

Production cars are notoriously difficult to define : blueprinting and other market models being cases that quickly come to mind.

Its still being discussed,

Purely personal opinion ( not binding ! ) : I would find it hard to exclude your gold car

back in the 70s , production car trials were run for Shopping Cars , if the permit applicaion and regs have not been submitted its probably too late to define the spec of the cars .
