The next Endurance Trial is set for 24th September next.

Keep a very sharp lookout for the Regs becoming available, and have your funding in place. Entries are Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad restricted to 40 !
.... and ask Noel Devlin why; not me.

Mark

A reflection of some of the personalities involved. Apparently its the IMRC date.

Malcolm : Now in the Motorsport Ireland Calandar but under an ALMC date !

I understand there is one event ; not two ! !

I did try to suggest the crossover entry was multi-venue competitor based . Still think the Endurance Trial will be over subscribed.

Peter,

Retro's are virtually dead.

IMRC Retro is not happening.

Neither is Cork.

Circuit Retro is moving towards longer "Lanes"/Multi venue/selective style tests rather than tight autotests; but with the navigation. Precise details are available from COC Ronnie Mitchell : - I am not commiting him to anything

TDC next year is set to change to an Endurance event.

To anyone interested : keep a close eye on the websites.
I count a least eight lanes type and similar in the North:
4 - 6 TDC Multivenues & the Trial
ALMC & IMRC another 4.

Calendar is getting crowded, and there is already a date clash on this one in September, as Malcolm has said !

According to details released by Clerk of the Course, John Carroll , plans are well advanced for ALMC's second Endurance Trial of 2011. This event will be based at the Marriott Hotel in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

The Marriott Hotel has reserved 20 Rooms for the Endurance Trial. These rooms are available at a rate of € 110 per room per night on a B & B basis, but only up until September 2nd.

The 2011 Solheim Cup ( Ladies Golf ) featuring Europe -Vs-USA , is on in nearby Killeen Castle on the same weekend as the Endurance Trial , hence accomodation is at a premium. The Hotel can be contacted at: +353 1 835 0800

Regulations and further information will be posted on www.almc.ie over the next two weeks. Already, the club has received requests for entries from a number of interested competitors and the CoC is confident that it will be a full house of 60 cars at the start line on September 24th .

As an add on/ update to the other point in this thread ; IMRC website has been updated in the last day or two to advise the following indefinite :

" ** Date Change Announcement ****

The IMRC retro date of September 17th/18th will be moving as a reult of the move by the Leinster Trophy Races in Mondello to this date.

The IMRC date will be announced in the coming weeks and it will also be a change of event from Retro to another discipline.

***************************************************

Will keep monitoring, but this is highlighting issues of numbers of events and numbers of entries. This type of affordable, 'Super-Autotest Plus ' type competition seems to be emerging from being the best kept secret in Irish Motorsport. Affordability and cost in the world of the 'dreaded R word'

It's not going to be a secret for very long. Given the speedy entry into Dec's MVAT I would say the word is well out. El presidente didnt even get his entry in on time before it was filled. Rolling Eyes
