Wow ! What can one say ! Amazing effort by Frank and Joe at the core of this.
Tricia, Paul and Piers on the entries side and the amazing turn out of marshalls. Brilliant !
Ruth and the girls for the barbie ! It's tradition at this stage ; Thanks !
To the competitors from far and wide : Kerry, Wexford , Wicklow, Dublin, Meath, Antrim and I'm sure a couple more. Amazing again ! Thank you all very much ; it is gratifying when the effort put in is so rewarded.
On a personal note I would like to thank all the drivers for their cooperation with my traffic management efforts, with so many cars in such a restricted space. Thank you all.
Tim

For those who weren't able to stay for the prizegiving, there are some awards that weren't collected last night -
2nd Beginner "Large" Saloon - Mark Fagan
5th Beginner "Large" Saloon - John Kane
1st Novice "Large" Saloon - Owen Murray
5th Novice "Large" Saloon - Jay Donegan
6th Novice "Large" Saloon - Keith Slowey
Because of the size of the entry in these classes, we gave awards to 6th place in both of them.
I have the Dublin Crystal pieces for Mark and Owen and Joe Doran has the wearable items for the other three.
If you like, they can be brought to JJ's Multi Venue Autotest on July 3rd, or to the next Beginners' event on July 24th, or contact Joe or myself to collect them sooner.
It's great to see that so many of you enjoyed your evening - that's what it's all about.

Well done to all the beginners yesterday. It's great to see so many newcomers to the sport. Congrats to Jamie on his win, a great drive.
The smooth running of the event was in part down the cooperation of the drivers, with the marhsals (Timmys) instructions, and this is very much appreciated by the club. Also with a spectator crowd as large as it was, credit has to be given to those who paid attention to marshals warnings, it made for a safe and trouble free event.
50 entries was the most that this event has catered for, lets see if we can get 60 for next year??? Nah 50 is plenty.

That really was a spectacularly well organised event, and fantastic fun.
The test in front of the house was brilliant, and the one in the main yard, and the one at the front too!
Take a bow TDC, you played a blinder yet again.

Have to agree with all the comments. Brilliantly run event. The queues were shorter and moved way faster that last year which is some achievement given the larger entry. The tests were excellent too with the one at the front of the house being a lot more fun than last year. Well done to all the marshals and helpers and many thanks to Frank for providing us with this great venue/BBQ as usual.

Just have to add my praise and thanks to all the organisers and hosts for this fantastic event - such a great atmosphere and fun despite, and maybe also because of, the numbers. Couldn't believe how early we got finished even double driving.
Mick - Micras always survive double driving! You were pedalling yours around very nicely.
Well done to all the prize winners and thanks for the great hot dogs!!
Stephen
PS. Just a thought for next year, albeit an extra challenge for Tim & other marshalls; Autotesting +

Well done and thank you to Frank and his entire team of marshals, time keepers, traffic coordinators ,cooks etc who put a huge amount of time and effort into this event. All your hard work paid off as last night was superb and ran like clockwork. This was a great achievement with such a large entry and even the weather played ball. Also many congratulations to all the prize winners. I was sorry when I finished and would have loved a few more goes at the loose test
If Carlsberg ran Autotests..............

Brilliant evening as always from TDC, many thanks to Frank, Eamonn, Felix, Tim and all the marshals who kept everything running so smoothly, so much so that there was plenty of time for a hot dog and to watch the likes of Mark and Simon entertain afterwards...

Ann Doran ( Damien's mum ) takes these photo's but they dont make it into the event profiles.
Here's the link for the one's from Frank's event.
http://public.fotki.com/ad-photography/tdc-beginners-frank/
Her website is http://www.ad-photography.net/ for a few more events you may not have seen.
And finally on photo's : Its a pity about thumbnails, cause when you make Ann's or Peter's or J's or Trevor's fullscreen size the true quality and amount of extra detail to be seen is amazing !
