Declans MVAT Sun 28th August |
|
Anybody who will be available to marshal on this event, morning, afternoon or any portion of the day, please let me know, preferably text me eg mvat (your name) after 12.00 to 0876870324.
Please don't phone me during working hours as an additional phonecall will do my head in, thanks!

Flip it more damage from Birr MVAT.... Exhaust took a knock and it has pulled to studs from the head that hold the manifold tight......
Bit of work required now...

Due to popular demand we are now incorporating a team event. Teams to be made up of any 3 cars and cost is 15 Euro per team. Please email me your team name and members.

First out of the blocks in the team challenge is the aptly named "Flat Out Team" Philip O'Reilly in a Starlet is head honcho and will be ably assisted by Richard and David Meeke in their quick Nova. All three are proven autotesters and will live up to their name!
Next up are "The Frenchies " This all Peugeot team comprises of captain Mick Kehoe, prop Jack Quinn and fly half Brian Kingston. This trio will be all buoyed up after Les Bleus victory in the Aviva today and another team to watch.
Following on from a good run at JJ's, Hurricane John Nolan has declared himself and the Jets i.e. Damien Philips and myself up for the team challenge. We are having a team meeting on Wednesday night to discuss strategy / tyres / how to avoid hitting plyons / minimising line faults and the catering arrangements for the day.
There are strong rumours of another few teams in the making however please let me know asap as we will be working on the running order early next week:)

I'm hardly the head honcho in that line up, I've a lot of work to do! Really looking forward to next weekend now!

Declan's Multi-Venue Autotest |
|
Following a conversation with Martin Nugent at today's Beginners' Autotest Round 4, you would be advised to adhere to the speed limits on the approach to Blessington (Dublin side) on your way to & from, and during Declan's event. Martin says there is a van on almost permanent duty on this stretch.

The team challenge is hotting up with the addition of "The No Hopers" Their final driver list is to be confirmed shortly but rest assured their name is a decoy......
Gentle reminder.
Last call for all teams to be added. Also anyone who needs to cancel please let me know asap:)

Corkman Liam Cashman, who won this event last year is leading "The Jap Crap Team". He has two of the best in his team mates ie Eamonn Byrne and Frank Lenehan. If Carlsberg did MVAT drivers.......

"The Drifters " are also strong contenders for team honours and will be keeping "The Jap Crap Team " on their toes. Rocket Ron , Dermot Carnegie and Andrew O'Donohue are all suitably mounted in RWD and will be showing us how to go sideways and quickly at the same time!
