it,s a pity that the navigator input is lessening on these events, navigators d'ont grow on trees they must be nurtured from little nuts and encouraged to practice. We will do anything for a free ride................

As Peter and Mick said brilliant event, Well done to Eoin and all in the Birr club. Great hospitality from the Garahy family and indeed from all the landowners who seemed to enjoy watching us careering round their yards ! Great test sites, happy friendly marshals and amazing signage-map not needed !
Thanks to all involved.
Thanks also to John Mac for keeping me going in the right direction on the first lap and congrats to him on a great result.
Bit of work to do before Declans, overcharging altenator died on way home, small (Exxon valdes style) oil leak , wobbly prop and noisy clutch , but sure what else would You be at......... Very Happy

Can't really add much to what's already been said. Thanks to all in Birr & District MC for all the hard work. Huge numbers of helpers had volunteered their time - some tests needed at least 4 marshalls.

Really enjoyed the day.

There was alot of them to go through on the 5 memory cards and had to make sure a few of a certain blue Starlet and some white pylons were included Laughing the last few are getting "branded" so should be uploading them to t'interweb shortly

Congratulations to Eoin, Ger and the Birr Motor Club crew on a superb event.

There was major preparatory input by the club that was rewarded on the day.

The variety, and the quality especially, of the sites was noteworthy. And great use was made of them. The lane and farmyard tests were terrific fun, but you had concrete factory yard autotest style, grass field and sandpit to choose from as well.
All set up Rally style attention to detail : with arrows, tape, excellent paperwork and prompt results.

Mrs Darmody is obviously a classic type lady. She hadn't realised what was involved until yours truly had a drive around her yard; and many farm buildings. The classy bit is her admission she reckoned the Mini's were the best of all ! \thanks to all the land owners : those locations are special. And different ( in a good sort of way ! )

Great stuff. Well done again ! And I trust the date will be applied for again for 2012.
