JJ's Multi-Venue Autotest 5th July 2009 |
|
This well-regarded event will take place on Sunday, 5th July.
Avail of the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent Meath / Louth scenery as you
travel from one yard to another.
After all your driving limitations have been exposed by the tests, the grand finale is a bounteous barbecue in Beaulieu. No matter how badly you fared during the day, you will go home happy.
The surfaces used are, for the most part, smooth and transmission friendly so you can bring out your pride and joy confident that any suffering it might sustain will be entirely down to you.
As ever, the entry fee allows a very generous donation to be made to charity.

We are looking for someone to take videos of the cars taking part in this event.. I have a camcorder available if you know of someone who is willing to take video footage at a few of the tests..
Peter Boyd was planning to do this but cannot now make this event...

A few showers will help to keep the dust down. It was showery last year as well but as far as I can remember all the tests went ahead. The last one in the field beside the house was especially free of grip......and all the better for it

Hi Owen, Do you mind me asking what size/type rear tyres will you be running? Looking forward to being in competition with you... We are a bit clueless about what goes on...

No problem Piers,
I'm using the Starlet as my road car at the moment so I'll be running standard (crap Matador's) road rubber 145/80 all round.
The nature of these multi-venues is to run on standard road rubber so that's what I'll be on.
Really looking forward to it. I see we'll be in a good bunch of starlets as well. Will be great craic

Thanks Owen.. Will be running 155 X 13s on the rear from the stephens day Micra.. Hopefully the won't be too grippy.. Won't have time to fit the hydraulic handbrake...
Was talking to Frank yesterday evening and I believe most of the starlets will be running the "dirty cheating ba*ta*d" tyres.. Think we'll have to get them disqualified as they aren't road legal..
Really looking forward to this event.. I just wish I had time to do some work on the Starlet...
