9th Feb 2013: TDC Mondello Multi-Venue Autotest |
|
This excellent event will take place on Saturday 9th Feb 2013 at the Mondello Park Circuit, Kildare.
Avail of the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent Mondello International & Rallycross circuits. The emphasis will be on fun flowing simple tests that will suit all levels.
The surfaces used are, for the most part, smooth and transmission friendly so you can bring out your pride and joy confident that any suffering it might sustain will be entirely down to you.
Please arrive as early as possible for sign-on. Your compliance would be greatly appreciated. No sign-on after drivers briefing at 09:15. Sign-on opens at 08:00
Please don't arrive to sign-on without knowing your assigned number as this will slow the process.
Important note: Running order is not a seeded entry list. Experience and double drivers will be dispersed throughout the field to speed things along.
We would like to thank the Management & Staff at Mondello Park for their help & support in hosting this TDC event

Mark Doran CoC has some new and exciting plans to make this year's event even better. The challenging and fun tests will be on a variety of surfaces including lots of loose and you can expect to be in every corner of Mondello Park. Eddie Peterson is a Mondello specialist and has taken top honours for the last two years, will he make it three in a row in his ever reliable Starlet ? Some of you will be glad to hear that it won't be a one horse race i.e. an all Starlet line up as we already have a eclectic mix of cars on the entry list including Escorts, Peugeots, Minis, Midgets and MX-5s. The terrain suits the sturdy, dogged and somewhat common Starlets but perhaps the proven rallying pedigree of the Escorts will come to the fore this year.
Discount the diminutive Mini's and Midget's at your peril as they have shown to be very nimble and sure footed on all surfaces. The open tests will suit the slightly larger girths of the Peugeots and MX-5s. There are more runners yet to be declared who are likely to feature on the top of the time sheets. Watch this space and see you in Mondello.
PS: The loose surfaces will not be rough.

Mick- you can expect to see some more heavy weights declared in the next few days !
Just to remind anyone double driving that both drivers need to complete an entry form.

The entry list is growing in size and variety. The Novas, who are well known for their turn of foot and dexterity have shown their hand. You can rest assured that they will give the Starlets (who have proven their stamina over this distance) a run for their money in the demanding and testing conditions of Mondello Park. We are thinking of adding a prize for the most unusual or oldest car in this event and a 1958 Austin A35 is currently odds on favourite to win this award.
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their completed entry forms and we'll post another update later on in the week. If anyone has any queries please let us know.
