Licences - We will have a Motorsport Ireland declaration sheet for signing by those who have applied for their licence but not yet received it by Sunday 26th January.
TDC are delighted to welcome new competitors from other motorsport disciplines and want to ensure everyone has a very enjoyable day so please don't be shy about asking questions. |
just to be 100% sure, so we dont need an email cover letter from MI or anything if we have not received a licence, just show up and sign the form? |
Mark
No cover note required as long as you have applied for your licence.
There is a Penalty for Signing the declaration if your licence is not applied for.
Note this declaration is only available for the month of January. |
perfect thanks Eoin, was hoping it might arrive today but thats grand, cheers!

Well done Y'all; Shaping up to be a top event I'll be spectating this weekend. As a rally cross fan, I'm always delighted to see Dermot driving, one my favorite driver's drivers of all time...
I'm planning to compete in the Beginners Autotest Championship this year and I shall be chatting the Starlet lads to see what work needs to be done to my road Starlet to get ready; I'm thinking Sump guard and Exhaust protection-Anything else?

If you're driving a Starlet you'll need to surrender your individualism and join the collective

This should be a brilliant autotest/rallycross/trackday. I am dying to get out and blow the cob webs off the starlet and give it plenty of abuse.

No Rob you would not need the sump guard. Most of the driving is on track and the rallycross parts are not very bumpy.

| | THINK OF THE MARSHALLS
At lunch break on Sunday at 1.00 o'clock, please allow the marshalls first call on access to the Burger van. They have a max 45 minutes including any travel time from test to paddock and back, and any time over-runs on competitors catching up to finish laps etc.
It is only a courtesy.

Will there be a burger van??? Really??

The canteen in Mondello will NOT be open however, there will be a Gourmet Burger van to keep everyone fueled throughout the day.
See you all in the morning

Thankyou very much to everyone involved in todays event. I really enjoyed myself and loved every single test. Thankyou also to all the marshals for standing out in that awful weather. I would also like to wish Ian Downey all the best and hope that he is ok.

Absolutely superb event, great craic all day. The tests were excellent, fantastic mix of surfaces. I did find that the Mini didn't have enough poke for the bigger stretches but it was still fun to drift it round the corners of Mondello
Massive thank you to the organisers and especially all the marshalls for standing out for the day in the icy wind and rain!!
