Please note the following final instructions and we will post the seeded entry list shortly.
HQ : Cow Lane Cottage, Burgage, Blessington, Co Wicklow.
Sat Nav Location : N 53.16480 W 006.53770
Sign on 8:00 to 9.00 am
Drivers briefing 9.00 am
First Car away 9:30 am
Lunch
There will be a 15 minute break in the Burgage with the first car due at 1.00-1.30 pm. There will be tea / coffee and lunch rolls provided for all crews.
IRDS
All drivers need to produce a current IRDS / BRDS Cert. Double drivers can nominate one driver to drive all the road sections and this driver must produce an IRDS cert. The other driver will be required to sign a declaration stating that they will not drive on the road sections.
Passengers
All passengers must sign on and pay the relevant personal accident insurance premium. Only signed on passengers may be carried on the road sections & tests. Passengers must be over 16 years of age and proof of age will be required at sign on.
Seat Belts.
Seat belts are mandatory for driver and passenger on all tests and road sections.
Tyres.
Only road tyres are allowed on the driven wheels, no M&S or Knobbly tyres are allowed.
Double Drivers.
The second driver is not permitted to sit in with the first driver before they have done their own test as this is deemed as an unfair advantage.
On tests where the start and finish are located in the same location, the 1st driver does the test and then returns to the start of the test to swap drivers. We have put another car between the double drivers so by the time this car has finished the test the 2nd driver can slot back in.
On tests where the start and finish are in different locations, the first driver starts as normal without the 2nd driver. The start marshal will instruct you as to the correct route to return to the start where you can slot back in for the 2nd driver. The first driver needs to be a passenger for the 2nd driver on these tests.
Tests 3 & 4
If your car has exhaust damage and is noisy do not enter test 3. Please omit this test and continue onto test 4. Drivers are not permitted to drive on the grass on tests 3 & 4. Both of these tests will have extra marshals to ensure that all drivers comply.
Driving on the grass = FAIL.
Test 9
Cannot be walked as it is a repeat of test 2
Starting Tests
We have a busy schedule i.e.19 tests in total so it important that all drivers arrive at the start of the tests ready to go.
Fuel
There are ample fuel stations along the route however we encourage drivers to use the Texaco at the roundabout in Blessington as they are one of our generous sponsors for this event.
General
Please help us to ensure that this event is a great success by following the instructions of the officials and marshals at all times. Please drive with due care and consideration for other road users on the road sections. Anyone observed driving in an inappropriate manner will be excluded.
Thank you for supporting TDC & The Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice and we wish you a very enjoyable and safe day.
Kind regards
Declan Hendrick COC

Just a quick post to say a big thanks to all the marshalls, setter-uppers, taker-downers, sweepers and anyone else who helped out on the event. It really couldn't happen without you and both personally and on behalf of Declan and the competitors I cannot really express enough thanks.
