This is a brilliant event and very well put together by the Westmeath & District MC. Should suit both road & autotest cars.

Update from Mark (CoC)
Hi All,
My name is Mark and I am with the Westmeath and District Motor Club. I am writing today to tell you about the Hewison Trophy Autotest Meeting our club is running on Sunday the 9th of November in the AXIS Business Park, Tullamore. We have the use of a new large industrial estate. For the third year running I am going to be the clerk of the course for this event, our previous two Autotest events were non championship events held in Forest Park industrial Estate, Mullingar in 2012 and 2013.
As a fan of this type of competition, I'm planning on competing as soon as work commitments allow I really think it is a pure demonstration of driver skill, I like to set fairly open free flowing tests for non championship cars. This years event will see the addition of the championship competitors so I've modified my test to suit both types. With more reverses for Hewison Trophy drivers and less reverses for non championship. The point on each test where a non championship competitor drives through a set of pylons will be marked with a different colored poles (eg Yellow) These same different colored set of pylons will mark were championship Hewison Trophy. drivers must reverse through. For the marshals the non championship cars will be clearly marked.
As a fairly new car club and one which is very proud to get a round of the Hewison Trophy we would Love to you compete in this event. If you have any questions please contact me on 0870659368. I have attached a provisional regulation which can be sent or emailed in as an entry. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest Regards Mark McLachlan

Interest is building in this Sundays Westmeath and District Autotest. It looks like we'll have a good mix of championship Hewison Trophy cars and non championship Class F cars.
All cars will be taking the same test routes, with the difference being that at a few points on the test route there will be pylons marked yellow, at the yellow pylon gates all Hewison Trophy cars will reverse through and all Class F cars will be driving through forward. Therefore less reverses for Class F cars. All class F cars will be clearly marked to help marshals distinguish between the classes. Class F cars will not qualify for the overall event result or Hewison Trophy points. They will be in their own class. Due to the interest in this class I have decided to further break down the Class F cars to Class F-Pro and Class F-Am
Class F-Am will be for all Novice and beginner competitors driving standard road going cars. NCT, road tax etc. not necessary, but the car must look like it could be driven on the road. COC will be the judge.
Class F-Pro will be for all other competitors who want a fun challenge, with less reversing maneuvers. Remember this class will not qualify for the overall result or championship points
Check in at 10am in AXIS Business Park this Sunday 9th November
