FACILITIES UPDATE

This one has a feeling about it that it will be extra special : its building towards one of the events of the summer.

We have arranged ( or had arranged on our behalf ! ) a 'Chuck Wagon' to cater for our marshalls (VERY IMPORTANT TO US ) that will also be available to all. Please support this man ; it is part of the fun experience TDC aims for in its events

Come along : get involved (Marshall contact : Tim Faulkner 087 6774967 timfaulkner17@gmail.com) : get fed !

Its a super venue ; so good it is taking us a while to sort out making best use of the available space, but when we were there in April it was a total blast.

Hope to see many of you there.

Tim Faulkner

Is the Chuck wagon just coffee and snacks or hot food?? Lunch like???

Thanks

A fat lad. Smile

To clear up some confusion competitors may have regarding tyres, all models of Yokohama A021R are allowed for this event.

You're getting fatter : burger van, I am advised. Bring all the family and friends while those over 16 compete or marshall.

Well done to all the organisers, timekeepers, catering staff and of course the landowner for yesterday's event, it was easily one of the best events I've done. Thanks also to all the nearly 60 competitors for supporting it, it's what makes running an event like this wothwhile when we hear so many positive comments about the day.

Yesterday was one of the most enjoyable events I've done (despite not finishing the day), great tests and really well organised. Thanks to eveyone in the TDC involved especially the marshalls for standing out.

People getting a bit excited about the event, over on another forum ! http://www.backroads.ie/forums/showthread.php?20582-28th-Aug-2016-TDC-Holfeld-Multi-Venue-Autotest/page3

On the basis you don't enjoy your own party sort of thing, I am a little more downbeat.

As an outline of what happens, I would like to express my own and the club's thanks to and for the following :

The Owner : Ed Holfeld

" The Phantoms !" Frank Lenehan, Joe Doran and Mark Doran for arranging and arranging the tests/layout/venue

Entries processing (a large job in itself), my man, Phillip O'Reilly.

Set-up : The Phantoms (as above, again !); Damo Phillips for haulage;, Minty, The Jude, Richard Meeke, The Kev Fagan and I'm afraid I'm forgetting someone; for Saturday !

Admin on the day; Paul Felix Phelan and our ever politically incorrect Chairman, Ian McCulloch (if Ian hasn't insulted you you've been hiding!).

COC on the Day : Senior Legend Larry Mooney.

Ultimately; finally and most magnificently (and I personally much appreciate their turning up on the day and would express my thanks to them) MY MARSHALLS !!!

Test One : Phillip Armstrong , Anthony and Ciaran Freeney

Test Two : John Byrne and Michael Byrne ; 'The Wexfords !'

Test Three : Peter Auerbach and Syd Quill

Test Four : Rob Bolton and Ron Corry

Test Five : Declan Lennon & Mandy, and Martin Casey

Tim
