The licence you'll need is a clubman: National B. This will allow you to compete in autotests, MVAT and road rallies (Irish Classic Retro, Circuit of Ireland Retro etc.)
Hope this helps

Slight correction to Danger Doran's post re licences - Clubman National B covers all autotests, including Multi Venue, but NOT Retros or Enduros.
For those, Road National B is needed, and also the driver needs to be registered for the IRDS (Road Traffic Act Insurance) scheme.
IRDS Application forms on MI website www.motorsportireland.com, under Useful Information-Standard Forms and either RALLY INSURANCE RENEWAL or RALLY INSURANCE FIRST TIME APPLICATION, as appropriate.

Right none of what are mentioned are actual terms used on the MSA application, here is a link to the application form Msa application if someone can take a look and clarify which it is I need. Strange as I have competed in every lanes rally up north this year and not once been asked for a competition licence
Looked at the Motorsport Ireland form as see the Road - National B but need to know the MSA equivelent.
Also will insurance not be available for the day as it is for Northern Events? or do you have to provide your own?

As ever, there is a strong need for marshals for this event. If you feel you could help out for part of, or all of the day, it would be much appreciated. Failing that, if you're talking part and know of somebody who could come along, that would greatly help too.
Thanks,
Mark
