The NISSAN's are coming. Entry News
Great news in today's post. Entries from two longtime friends of TDC have been received.
AND extended entry deadlines ; for more punters. Contact us if you are interested but uncertain. We WILL talk to you about.
Harold Hassard and Ron Mullan are bringing the Sunny's : the old hands showing their considerable skills in getting around the tests despite the larger size of the cars.
A bit old school ( i.e. not Starlet), but there's nothing wrong with that in my book. And always a pleasure to watch !
There is a request attached with the entries looking to renew rivalries started at JJ's event in June. Things are HOTTING UP !
A comparative newcomer, John Heavey in a Starlet has joined in : Fair play & look forward to seeing John on the day
Tim
& a P.S. I can only deal with non-blogs ! If and when cevans (or anyone else ) gets me something more than an e-post they will be included !
PPS. Can I get him to annoyed enough to enter and bring a new dimension ? A new sort of winning car?
Or extra imperial in the arguement against the metric side ? ?
PPPS. Declan has more entries n the way ; and we have a few more in the pipeline. Dont miss out if you have the intention ! !
PPPPS. Why has holiday season become all summer long ?
Because the weather is so cra_! There's a dozen away for the 26th !
Will guarantee you weather on the day : just wont say what sort! !

Lol.. Would you swap a drive in a Starlet for a drive in your GTI Mick?
I'm really loooking forward to tearing around Declan's MVAT.. It's the most exciting/challenging one of the year... I especially like the blast around the field and Joe Reynolds place... I believe there won't be as long a queue at Joe's this year...

Tim, the NI Mazda crews are waiting to see how the cars fair out on the Monaghan Enduro this weekend before submitting entries so hopefully you will hear from them on Monday or Tuesday

If we had a few more big saloons it might be worth having a new class. Some of the events in NI go by vehicle length which is a good idea given the tight nature of some of the events.

That's 32. including I nearly managed to leave the last one off the list; accidentally (the way I have data entered on a spread sheet ! ). A real 'flat into 90 left on the handbrake on cow sh1t' moment. The first of the event ? Probably not knowing Declan.
Anyone else who feels unjustly omitted : To ALL i unreservedly apologise : & please contact me . But : Thats not all !
There's my 10 probables ( documents on the way ). As a clue : there are some old faithfuls, and a few whose cars would be particularly close to Faulkt1a's heart in there !
And the next order of possibility down ( in negotiations for passes out etc.) has another 10.
If it all turns out we're looking at mid-40's. Anyone who has not contacted myself or Declan yet may find themselves left out. We'll take entries to towards the end of the week; but only if we know. & we are filling up !
Speaking of filling up : Mick Kehoe would also like which brand of tomato ketchup to go with his burger and crunchy gearbox ?
As a curiosity : Dont know whether its the Endurance Trial yesterday delaying a decision, but ALMC are conspicuous by their absence. I know one or two are committed elsewhere, but come on the rest of ye !
Keep e'm coming
Tim

TDC FAILTE ITINERARY
TDC Failte would like to provide you with this short itinerary of the delights and entertainment that have been laid on for your enjoyment on Sunday next.
Your day will start with breakfast and sign-on. Optional banter and slagging will no doubt be well present.
Swifly followed by a customary run around the adjoining lane(s) and yard.
Barretstown; famous for the Paul Newman connection is included. Twice. I missed it last year, and I believe it had to be seen to be believed. Even better in the driving. 'Mega !'
There are also farm lanes.
And adding to the variety, and to put manners on you ; farm yards.
A couple of quarries.
& one of those ones that you wonder should we be there ? .....
As in the surface is smoother than Mondello ! !
& we cant refuse because we were invited ! ! ( did your mother never teach you it was bad manners to turn down an invitation ? )
That field ! Its a wonder anyone got a go last year . Ian McCandless only goes to marshall so he can see how many pirouettes it is possible to put the Porker through ! ! ( as in last year himself and son Mark were at something more than 3+ after the rain turned it into an ice-rink):
Lunch ! !.
And then go and do it all over again.
And/or something very similar.
19 Times, in all, are lined up for your delectation ! !
Followed by Barbaque , results, and yet more craic, banter and slagging off.
And Tim gets to go home with a run over Sallygap.
It sounds like a fantasy, but we can assure you its not a work of fiction ! !
Tim

Hope my clutch last the event.. I don't think I'll have time to fit one before next Sunday.
Its the last event for a good while as it's going to be very quiet for the next 3 months....
Roll on Sunday....
