The tests are along the same lines as the Summer Lanes / Retro. Surfaces range from tarmac, concrete, loose, grass, to a range of other deposits found in farms which could prove to be slippy in places. At the moment there are 19 tests most of which have already been designed without any reversing and as wide open as possible. The tests will be approved by the MSA as special tests the same as used on the COI retro this year, UAC will be supplying clearly marked maps showing how to get between tests and will be easy to follow, no navigation experience is neccessary as only the tests count in the final result. There is no restriction on tyre choice and either occupant can drive on the tests providing they hold a normal driving licence (a motorsport licence is not neccessary). The entry fee also includes breakfast for both crew members in Bar Retro before the start of the event.

Just over a week to the day after the days after boxing day rally. who's going to the event?
My car is coming back down of axle stands later and will be ready by tuesday night hopefully. Feels like a long time since I was out so I am looking forward to getting my motorsport fix.

Hi Roger, I know Frank Lenehan (Starlet) and Andrew O'Donohoe (MG Midget) are travelling up.. Ronnie Griffin is thinking about it.. I'll probably go but I guess it depends what the roads are like the day before.. Its a very early start so will probably have to go up the previous evening... A very hectic few days... Now all I have to do is find a navigator!

Well done to Ronnie, Frank and Andrew O'Donohue who were second, third and eighth and this TDC trio also won the team event.

Yes, Great result.. Well done James... I'll post up the full results as soon as they become available.. I believe it was very close contest between the winner James & second place Ronnie..
