ITCC Mondello 12 September

Congrats to Donal Arundel who finished 6 th in both races at Mondello today. Great job considering there was a full grid of 32 cars out in both races and he is in his first season of racing . Well done Donal:)

Yes, Congrats to Donal on 2 great drives today and especially in the second race. A hard fought 6th place (out of more than 30) and less that half a second off fifth. Given that Donal has already scored two fourths and one third this may not seem as impressive but today all the big guns were out and the competition was fierce.. I was really impressed at how Donal attacked the international circuit after not driving on it in years...

Roll on 2011 as I'll be back in the driving seat!

I think Piers might knock a few folks for six next year, the Mazda is a cracking little car, and has run flawlessly all year - which is due to Piers trademark relentlessly detailed preparation.
A few more ponies and with Piers in max-attack mode it could spring a few suprises ..

By my late night (not to be trusted) reckoning the little Mazda might have finished 6th in the championship overall, having only entered in the 4th round with no dropped rounds allowed. Way better than I could have hoped for so I am really chuffed.

I hope to be out in the Alfa next year with a bit of luck, but it will be hard pressed to match next years version of the Mazda I suspect Wink
