It could be off quite a few cars from what I've heard.. Either a Ford or Opel I'd say...

The emphasis was on classic cars. only 30 spots were available due to time constraints in loughgall. All 30 were filled by classic cars first, it was then decided to let some local modern crews go, who normally sponsor or help run other events throughout the year. It's not personal.

The event has a relatively low entry few due the fact that NAMC pull in a lot of money from the spectators. To keep spectators coming, the event has to seen as a classic event, which is the spirit of the Loughgall festival of motorsport.

That would be the work of a certain red Manta. He likes to keep the repair work interesting for me.

We had a funny on T5 ,as well, but these are fun events, there's nothing at stake championship-wise and you just take it as part of the fun, and be happy that someone took the time to organise it for you to have a hurl round the countryside. But you can't help but get a tad annoyed for a minute or two.

The more worrying thing is that some of the stage boys were a bit upset that we got to run the stage (albeit with the stops and boards) sans helmets and cages. There probably is a discussion to have about that and where Retro stuff is heading, and the potential consequences if things go pearshaped.

I have to agree Michael, I really enjoyed the event but some bits didn't make sense.

In terms of the stage being run as a special test, I didn't really feel that it was too fast. With codeboards and stop boxes, we were meant to come to a stop 7 times, whether or not this happened of course is a different matter. I think the average speed was kept below 30mph which to me seems ok. I thought it was quite safe compared to other tests I have done in the past. In terms of safety, the test has already been prepared to cater for faster cars competing flat out, so for us, it should be even safer.

The reason the test times in the results were slower on some tests, was because bogey times were applied ........... this happens when competitors are faster than the minimum time set for the test, this happened on quite a few tests leading to slower identical times showing in the results than the actual times of the competitors.
