21st April 2012: Dungannon MC Springfling Lanes Rally |
|
Regs and entry form can be downloaded from http://www.anicc.org.uk/Resources/Documents/20120421_DMC_SpringflingRally_Regulations.pdf
The event will follow last years format of
• Tests are run on private lanes, and yards with a mixture of tarmac, concrete,
gravel. Tests start at one end of the lane, finishing at the other and passing through the occasional farm yard.
• Tests will vary in length from 0.25 miles to approx 1.00miles
• In excess of 20 tests have been planned during the day
• Cars start at one minute intervals
• Cars must stop astride finish line (same finish procedure as autotests)
• No reversing required (unless you make a mess of it!)
• Bogey times are set at 30mph average, so there are some measures to
try to make sure no-one beats them (interpret that as you wish!)
These measures may include; chicanes, code boards, stop /go garages etc.
• There will be no ‘recce’ or walking of tests, crews will complete them blind
Time table for the event on April 21st

10:30 First car starts
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch halt (Food Available to purchase at HQ)

Yes, Laura and I really enjoyed this event last year so we sent our entry off as soon as we got the regs. Last year they used about 6 or 8 lanes or so and a couple of autotesty type coarses in industrial estates and each one was done two or three times, I think there was about 24 tests in total but at my age it's hard to remember these sort of things.
All the best, Neil.
