Laois Rally Sport Club Autotest

Laois Rally Sport Club can rightly be proud of their excellent event given the very high level of professionalism and preparation. The location for this event was superb, large test sites, cordoned off areas and long flowing fast tests around obstacles such as containers. All 3 tests were challenging and fun. LRSC put a lot of thought and effort into the preparation of this event. They had everything covered right down to the signposts to the event location, BBQ, toilets etc. It's only a shame that there wasn't a greater turnout but hopefully when the word gets out they see a much larger entry next year. Given the driver feedback regarding the quality of this event it would be good to see it as a round of the Hewison Championship. I for one will definitely be back.

Christopher Grimes showed us all how is should be done with fast neat driving, never putting a foot wrong and newly crowned Novice Champion Alan Coyle keeping him honest. Christopher was 1st overall and made it two trophies in less than 24 hours having picked up a Rallycross award the previous night! Damian Doran was fastest of the novice class , his mini was on song all day and he drove with his usual panache and determination. I think all of the drivers would agree that this was a
fantastic event and deserves more support next year.

Completely agree Patricia.. Brilliant event and a reminder that tests don't have to be tight to be challenging, fast and fun.. I'm really looking forward to their next event.. I have never been to such a well prepared and run event..
Oh.. and well done for beating me.. I'll have to lift my game... Smile
