Tim Faulkner
Over 50 so likes things on the classic side
Was here (TDC Committee) before
Done lots of marshalling.
Believes TDC is natural motorsport home
Also was in Kerry for 5 years ( It's different down there ! )
Now the man with the cheque book.
Agrees carpark autotests are not really a spectator sport. (Used be Mini's) but now Starlets & Nova's in autotests mean motorsport is acessable to most.
Multi-venue & testss on Retro's are spectator interesting.
Guilty of having an autotest MG Midget thats not used. ( Blame college: or a least that's my excuse)
Multi-venue autotests are a close approximation to cross-road test trials ( ah; the days !). They are also the most fun and best kept secret in Irish motorsport. C'mon TDC !
Compete or marshall: but just do it ! Join TDC to-day

Hello All |
|
Hi Folks,
Rory Power here. Great website. Anybody who has been out at the last few events will have seen me slowly weaving a white (for now) mini through (and over!!) the pylons. Autotesting is proving to be enormous fun. Loving it so far.
I'm sure by the time the year is over I'll have spoken to you all.
Rory

Hi all |
|
Hi my name is Peter Auerbach. I have been involved in different forms of motorsport for over 30 years now. I did motocross and grasstrack racing in the seventies. Formula VW in 1985. I ran my son in Karting in 1997 and 1998. Both of us have been racing Strykers for the last few years. We have also done the Stephens day autotest for the last few years and we are really disapointed that it is cancelled this year. Hoping to do a few autotests in our Starlet, time permitting.

Hello Peter and welcome, the Stryker class always looks like a very competitive class and I'm sure they are great fun to drive , I'd say they could be tricky in the wet!

The Stryker class has a very friendly athmosphere. Most of us help out other competitors, lending tools, parts and information, so none of the secrecy and bitching that I found in Karting. This year we changed to Yokohama tyres and they transformed the car, although they are still leathal in the wet. (much more power than grip). I'm hoping that the autotesting has the same friendly athmosphere. Well I already know a lot of you and you seem to be all right.
So who wants to give me some guide lines on building the starlet.
