Original Toyota MR2(mk1) LSD -Can fit Starlet/Corrolla/Cynos |
|
I have an OEM(i.e. factory fit) JDM(i.e. from a Jap import) Toyota MR2(mk1 I think) LSD, just like in the photos below. Bought it a couple of years ago intending to get into AutoTesting but that never happened so I'd like to sell it.
I've taken the below photos from another website but its identical to that one.
I'm not sure of the exact details as to how but it can be fitted to a Starlet/Corrolla box as a couple of friends fitted one to theirs a few years ago (red 1.5 Cynos engined starlet some of you may know). I can probably find out the details if necessary.
€450 (stands me €550 due to $ rate when I bought it & it getting stopped in customs...).

Based in Dublin, but can post it necesary - weighs 4.7Kg in a small newspaper packed box. Can take Paypal if posting. Or could have it brought to an event if that suited as a friend tests regularly (Doran).

Hi Blade, That looks like an 8 bolt LSD in the photo? Is this what you have? The MK1 MR2 & N/A starlet are 6 bolt.. I still may be interested but it will need machining to fit..
I'll give you a bell tomorrow...

Yep, 8 holes. And thinking back now I think that may have been what my friends did to get it to fit - machined some of the holes in the crown wheel.
I've texted them to ask what combo of gearbox/crown/pinion etc they were able to use because I think they changed a couple of times so may know more than one combination which works. Or I guess you might know yourself?

I'll have to think about this one.. Last time I paid €200 to get the diff machined, with the 6 bolt one costing £585 brand new from Quaife...

Not me I'm afraid.. Too expensive considering all the extra machining work required..
