Retro News

With the event drawing closer and entries starting to fill up, we are pleased to welcome our first international entry this year from Germany.

The ‘Retro’ organising team have been working hard to bring you a bigger and better event and we can now confirm up to 60miles of special tests, private lanes and forest tracks, coupled with a route that both driver and navigator can really sink their teeth into.
We have taken the best from last year and made it better!

Saturday sees competitors enjoy a sumptuous lunch in front of roaring fires in the dungeons of Narrow Water Castle, Warrenpoint admiring the motor sport art that adorns the walls, then line up for an all car photo shoot with the edifice of the Castle providing a stunning backdrop.

On Sunday there will no let up in magnificent roads, spectacular scenery and we promise that what we have planned for you at Kirkistown Racing Circuit will blow your minds!!

The organising team can be found this weekend at the Irish International Motor show, Cavan Equestrian Centre so come along, meet us and find out more about this fantastic event.

We continue to work hard to deliver an event worthy of the ‘Retro 25th Anniversary.’

It's great for the sport to see her out in a Retro Rally , somehow I don't think she will have any problem making the time on the night nav tonight either... Good for her:)

Hi all - the full results can be found at www.circuitretro.com

Congrats to Eamonn Byrne and Paul Phelan as the overall winners.
They beat Stephen Griffin and Cath Woodman by 26 points!
It was all square going into the last day, so it couldnt of been tighter!

Emma McKinstry didnt do too well - we had torrential rain on the Friday (Monsoon, someone mentioned!) and her car started to have engine problems.
Her times were good, up until then! and she says she will be back next year!

Many thanks to all that turned out, and who came out to marshal. Special thanks to Peak MotorClub

PS - just been given the Retro dates for next year - 21st to 23rd October
