9th Oct 2011: Wexford M.C. Autotest |
|
TDC Beginners Championship have been invited to attend an additional event as an extra round of our 2011 Championship.
Entry Form and Regulations
Location Map
GPS: 52.268512,-6.753142
The offer is from Wexford Motor Club for their Sunday 9th October event which is the closing counter of this year's Munster Autotest Championship. Likely location is in the New Ross area
My own feelings are very positive as it would be great to hook up with old acquaintances from Munster ; and the soundings I have taken are very positive also.
We would then have the issues of an additional round in a running championsip not being 'on' , and whether we count 6 rounds from 7, or 5 from 7 ?
Basically, the decision will depend on the feedback I receive on this by close-of-business next Friday, 2nd September
I am taking the slightly incorrect view of going ahead with this , subject to the significant outcome of feedback from interested parties.
Look forward to hearing from you
Tim

Tim,
I would be prepared to travel to that event, and I hope it gets the support of the majority of the beginners.
As regards the number of counting rounds, I'd say leave it at 5. If you had a problem later in the year with a venue then you would still have enough rounds run.

Have it where we had the last one? And do the 2 tests together at the end, it was a great event last year, I'll definitely do it,

If it's a championship round we should get a good few beginners, and if we ask all that we did last year we should have 25
Or 30 cars

I am looking at this as an add-on to the event Wexford are running anyway; sort of TDC Beginners on tour idea. It wont be a TDC stand-alone : so someone from Wexford is COC, they get the MSI permit, venue, take the entries etc,
I plan to be there on the day helping in some way, in any event. And I hope as many as possible of the Beginners and Novices Championship regulars will come along. And I looking for opinions on the idea, rather than getting into the details of the event.
Anyone else want to give a yea. nea or share thoughts ?

Going ahead with this .
Wellingtonbridge is likely location, again.
Agree with John Kane : 5 from 7 is right.
Regs available soon and hope to see as many as possible of you at the event

Myself and David Sheehan are planning to travel down for this event - It was a great event last year - the two combined tests at the end were great!
