How about if you were to do a kind of magazine style feature on some of the top cars or maybe profiles of the top drivers, numbers of wins etc. Although I know it would probably be hard get the info together though.

ok ive had a look into the ranking thing. how about this?
we take the big 3 championships. the ni. the hewison and the munster.
40 points would be awarded to the winner of a hewison ni and munster events. and 39. 38. 37 etc. and a bonus 5 points would be added to the classes other than minis due to them being the slower class if that car finishes outside the top 5 that is.
for the ranking each drivers last 20 events results would be used "up to 2 years" and from that an overall all ireland ranking would be formed.
ill come up with a sample one and see if the idea flies

sounds like a good idea, would take a fair effort to keep updated though.

I imagine it would be biased towards those that took part in all 3 championships. I don't have the raw data though...

Agree with Piers - the more you do the higher you maybe - fail to see how would bear any resemblance with WRC or Tennis rankings
Plus most of those who do the Southern do not do the Northern and visa versa meaning they have never competed againist each other so how can they be ranked againist each other.
I enjoy your web site at present because its simply a photo web site and if it needs changing then expanding the photo side would be what is expected - whose who - their result - etc etc

No it wouldnt matter if someone done all three because its their last 20 events, so they cant double or trible up on points.
