Welcome along Karl, It does help to see a few events and even marshal to get an idea of how things work. If your looking to sharpen you reactions and driving skills autotests are the way to go. There are still a good few beginner/novice autotest held by TDC over the summer which would be worth entering. Feel free to ask questions, they are a friendly bunch..
