The Leinster Trophy races are on in Mondello Park today.
TDC club member and autotest driver, Alan Auerbach will be racing in the Irish Stryker race for the O'Reilly Trophy.
He last raced in 2007, but still managed to qualify on pole for today's race.

Yesterday he qualified 2nd to Alan Watkins, now our 4 times champion, with both of them qualifying with times better than the class record, and over a second better than the rest of the field.
Watkins lead from start to finish, with Alan Auerbach glued to him all the way to the chequered flag.
Seventeen year old Niall Murray was 3rd, setting a new lap record in his first ever outing in a Stryker. One to watch in the future.

Todays Stryker race will be at around 2pm so please come by lunchtime and enjoy these three autotesters in racing action.

Well for those of you that didn't make it down, Alan Watkins made one of his demon starts and was first into turn 1, followed by Alan Auerbach, who stayed right behind him all the way to the flag. Dave Griffin was 3rd with young Niall Murray less than a second behind, and setting fastest lap on the way with a 1.55.942.
This makes Alan Watkins Irish Stryker champion for the fourth consecutive year, and up till now in a class of his own.
So well done to Alan Auerbach, after 5 years out of racing, getting a pole and a 2nd in qualifying and two 2nd places in what must be the most difficult car to drive in Irish racing, and to Niall Murray, two fastest laps, a new lap record on the longer International track and a 3rd and a 4th finish in his first outing in a Stryker.
