Essentially a field/hillside lined with pairs of pylons requiring you to negotiate a fixed course and get as far along it as possible.. Should be a ball...

Against the clock I presume? If so, how is it different to an autotest?

Not against the clock, the course is split up into sections and each section is marked by two posts (gate), then each gate is graded from 10 to 0 for example, if you get as far as the 4th gate then you score 7 marks (I think) but if you clean the test then you score 0
this video will give you an idea of what to expect

LMAO @ J!!
That must be the single best motorsport to watch and marshall at
The trial looks like a bit of craic and I think I have a suitable set of front tyres there for the event for the Starlet.
I'll get me entry in

The Step Inn in Stepaside do a decent steak Eoin. Johnny Foxes is nearer to the event and the food isn't bad but can be a bit touristy / pricey.

Unfortunately, due to a poor hay making weather forecast for the next week, the date for the TDC Production Car Trial is being postponed.
We hope to re-schedule for 2 weeks later, Wednesday 30th July, weather permitting.
Updates to follow.
