Excellent response with entries so far, almost 50 received in 24 hours.
For anyone intending on doing this event, please get your entry in ASAP. At this rate it's likely we'll end up filling the entry before the closing date on 19th January so don't delay!

With an exceptional response to this event inside just 3 days, we've taken the decision to limit entries on the day to 90 competitors to allow sufficient time for the running of the event.
Any entries received from this evening will be placed on a reserve list and may be run subject to withdrawals prior to the event, and at the club's discretion.
Thanks to all competitors who got entries in promptly.
Philip.

Looking forward to this event as always!
Not a salesy type post at all but I just wanted to give some competitors some notice ahead of this weekend about what tyres we have available as due to a supply issue from Yokohama our stock is quite low for some tyres, and completely gone for others!
What we *do* have available are:
A008 - 165/70R10
A032 - 165/70R10
A021R - 185/60R13
A021R - 185/70R13
A539 - 175/60R13
A539 - 185/60R13
AD08RS - 195/50R15
AD08RS - 215/45R16
Nankang AR-1 - 185/60R14
VERY limited qty in each of these so if anyone is looking to get tyres ahead of the event please ring ahead and actually order what you are looking for so they are reserved for you. I wouldnt like to see people coming in on Friday/Saturday and being disapointed with what is available.

Quick note for those attending this event for the first time. If you are driving a FWD car, we advise that you should run the same size tyres front and rear and not the smaller tyres on the rear.

Hi Piers14
Appreciate advise, what is advantage and disadvantage of putting smaller wheels on the rear?

Hi, thanks for asking. Mondello is different to a lot of other autotests. You will need a lot more grip on the rear than normal as you are trying to carry speed through corners. If you use narrow tyres on the rear like at other autotests, you will lose a lot of time going sideways with a high risk of ending up in the kitty litter.
